French Champions! The U21 Team of the LDLC ASVEL Training Center won this Saturday afternoon the Trophy of the Future 2021!
The Espoirs were able to stay on course throughout the season by finishing as the leader of the Eastern Conference. This weekend, a new challenge awaited the team, that of winning against the 7 other best teams of the championship, in a play-off format with three potential games in three days.
First step of this weekend, the quarterfinal against Pau-Lacq-Orthez. A first round well conducted by the team that won 87-55.
On Friday, the program was a duel in semi-final against Strasbourg. Our Espoirs have once again made the difference by winning largely (95-74) and have reached the last step of this Trophy.
The final of the Espoirs Championship was played this Saturday at 3pm, with LDLC ASVEL facing Cholet. After a first half dominated by Cholet (27-40), the young men of the Tony Parker Adéquat Academy raised the tone in defense, coming back little by little taking the upper hand on the Choletais. A controlled end of game (74-57), and our Academicians won this Saturday the title of « Champion de France Espoirs » !
