INTERNATIONAL BACHELOR’S PROGRAMME IN MECHANICAL, MATERIALS AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING
The Mechanical and Material Engineering Departments at INSA Lyon are amongst the very top departments in these fields in France as reported in the Worldwide 2016 QS ranking for Engineering Universities* and benefit from extensive and long-term industrial partnerships. INSA Lyon holds several industrial chairs including the SAFRAN INSA-ECAM chair in Innovative Mechanical Transmissions for Aeronautics which supports the International Bachelor’s programme in Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering. The Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering of the University of Strathclyde is consistently rated in the top 10 in the UK. It has pioneered the use of active learning techniques in the interactive classroom, and innovative approaches to teaching design.
This three-year course offers a unique opportunity to acquire a solid grounding in these highly-valued engineering fields, gain first-hand professional experience and develop a truly international profile. The programme is sponsored by SAFRAN, a high- technology group which is one of the world leaders in Aerospace applications. Classes are tailored to solving real- world problems through engineering applications with emphasis being placed on team and extensive project work. Knowledge gained through course work is consolidated by mandatory internships in industry which form an integral part of the syllabus.

Access level : students in their final year studying for their High School certificate, for the IB or National Baccalaureate, or for an equivalent certificate
Classes taking place at both campuses : Tony Parker Adéquat Academy and INSA Lyon
Full training in English

Admissions procedures once accepted to join the Tony Parker Adéquat Academy :
– Copies of the high school diploma or predicted grades and school transcripts for the last three years
– Academic requirements : Required subjects with minimum accepted grades for year 1 entry :
> A-levels: AAB (Maths A, Physics A)
> IB : 32 (with either Maths HL5 or Physics HL5)
> French Baccalaureate: STI2D (overall average>16), S (Maths: 13, Physics: 13)
> USA : Strong High School Diploma combined with strong SAT I and II scores and/or APs with grades at 4 or above
> India : 70-75% in all subjects taken at level XII (Maths and Physics are required)
– An externally recognised English test : level C1 (TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC…), no minimum French level required
