As part of our innovative concept, we organised a new thematic week for our Academy students during this holiday period with the objective to strengthen cohesion and to open their minds on other topics and perspectives.

With "L'agence T by Talenteo", the Academy offered a challenge to our Academicians this week, through various fun activities and awareness-raising on disability.

To begin with, our Academicians played a mime challenge, focused on deafness situations. Accompanied by the Urapeda Rhône-Alpes association, an actor invested in the integration and autonomy of deaf and hard of hearing people, our Academician had to find other means of communication to compensate for the loss of meaning.

Second workshop of the Talenteo challenge: our basketball and esport players discovered sitting volleyball, a discipline that is played on a smaller field and with a lower net than in volleyball, where the players sit on the ground and move around by sliding with the help of their members. Playing next to the Academy, the ASUL Volley seated volleyball team, was on hand to supervise and give some advice to our Academicians.

In addition to the sports activities, the intervention of Laurine Verhaeghe, Dietitian-nutritionist, enabled the Academicians to be aware of their nutrition in relation to their daily sports practice.

Tuesday, the competition continued with a gaming challenge, with once again, handicap situations: reversing the joysticks to simulate a mental disorder or blindfolded for sight, the Academicians had to help each other and stay focused to try to win a new round of the Talenteo challenge.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Academy changed its face, to welcome various professions of the Army, which our Academicians were able to discover on the thematic workshops organized by CIRFA of Lyon, before testing military physical training at Parc de Gerland.

For the last sporting activity of the Talenteo challenge, the Academicians discovered an inclusive sport, "baskin", with the Baskin France association. Alongside young people from medical educational institutes (IMEs), the teams trained to practice this sport, inspired by basketball and inclusive activities, allowing everyone to practice it.

Last meeting of the week: French paralympic table tennis player Maxime Thomas, Olympic medalist and qualified for the next Olympic Games in Tokyo, came to tell his story and discuss with our Academicians.

The thematic week ended with the award ceremony for the winning team of the Talenteo challenge: cinema tickets offered by the UGC Cité Internationale.

Beyond the competition that enlivened the week, exchanges between Academicians and the various players who came to present their professions or career paths made this new thematic week rich in discoveries and cohesion!
